All it takes some few steps to bring your app to everyone's notice. Here are those steps. 1. Create an Eye-Catching App Icon Your app icon is the first thing which catches the attention of the people. A person scrolls down and searches for the app in the Google App Store. He will be noticed first by your logo then after that the description. One thing keeping in mind that your icon shall represent the clear clarification of what your app is. The best way to have a good logo is to make a straight forward as much possible and avoiding too creative. 2. Name & Describe Your App Carefully A justified title means the difference between people just knowing or referring it to others. So if you want that your app shall be stuck in their head, the name needs to be unique and fresh. Some of the things can be kept in mind while choosing a name that is:- a) Don’t use the names that are already used. b) Keep your app name short and remember, to use only 25 characters as only 25 characters are visible in Google App Search, so choose wisely. Your description, on the other hand, is another aspect of working on. You do need to be strategic while giving it. By giving important information and features you can really make a big effect your ASO. MUST READ: Key Elements for Effective Mobile Application Development 3. Social Media Outreach The best way to connect people with your app is to connect your app with the social media. Imagine if your app is human, what it will sound and act like? The social media website where app needs attention are:
4. Marketing your App Effectively If you do have a marketing budget, don't think so much to spend it. If you want a fast rise in download for your app in a short time, concentrate all your marketing spending into a small time. It takes some courage but when done, you can see awesome results. Spread your ads across the channels which includes:
5. Using Images & Videos A good combination of both can boost up the downloads. Make screenshots so that it ca be clear to the user the idea of how your app will work. Similarly, you can make a video of how a person can use your app. It will help to make your app more user-friendly. The more user-friendly the app will be, the more downloads you will get in return. 6. Ask for Review If you can make positive reviews from the user, you can see your downloads increasing fast. You might be tempted to get fake reviews just to increase the amount of attention. But if App Store finds that used these tactics, your app will be suspended forever. Organic reviews are more beneficial than from fabricated ones, so keep in mind and stay away from fake promotions. 7. Focus on the user demands It always not about the downloads you are getting, it is also important how, where and by whom, your app is using. Analytics are very important as they determine what your user wants and how you can come up with your user's demands. It also tells about the user's behavior from download till deletion. We are hearing a lot of rumors about the iPhone 7 what how will it look and what new features it will have. Traditionally Apple has launched iPhone in September every year. We have also heard that iPhone 7 will not change its design, rather will stick to design of its predecessor i.e. iPhone 6s, but it will redesigned antenna lines, front and rear cameras and they will be ditching 3.5mm headphone jack!
Evan blass who is a prominent leaker has always given the right information about the launch dates of a device, said that the next iPhone which will be known as iPhone 7 will be launched on September 12; then again he tweeted that Apple will launch this device on 16th September. Earlier the iPhone 7 was expected to be launched in three variants: -iPhone 7 -iPhone 7 Plus -iPhone 7 Pro But another news came that iPhone will be launched in 2 variants only. It is also stated that the iPhone will say goodbye to 16gb model and the 32gb will be their base variant. So the iPhone 7 will come with 32gb, 128gb and 256gb model. It is also said that the new models will come up with bigger battery and a new Apple A10 processor which will give the users a seamless experience. The home button will also have force touch capabilities. With Apple saying goodbye to the 3.5mm headphone jack, the phone is expected to be 1mm slimmer than its predecessor. There is also another rumor that this time Apple will no longer be using the LG’s IPS LCD panel but instead they will be using the OLED which is superior to the LCD panel in terms display clarity but also it is energy efficient. Apple has not revealed any details about the device and has remained silent on when the next iPhone will be launched. Its just the rumors and leaks which made everyone believe that the company is working on the iPhone 7. There are also pictures of iPhone 7 which compares it with iPhone 6s which claims that the iPhone will have a slightly redesigned body. The iPhone 7 is expected to come with preinstalled iOS 10 and with new features such as:
iPhone 6s and 6s Plus did sell considerably well last year but their share of sales dropped compared to its predecessor iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. customers continued to use their year old iphone 6 and 6 Plus or even they did stick to their two year old iPhone 5S. Apple will be willing to improve its sales as compared to last year. We have to wait till 16th September when Apple officially announces the phone and its new features. Stay tuned to AppInventiv for the latest updates about iPhone. Know the difference between hybrid apps and native apps, and which one is most suitable for your mobile app needs.
Hybrid Mobile Apps A Hybrid mobile app is an app which is installed on your device natively and coded with web technologies like HTML, CSS etc. This type of app uses Webview to run. A Webview can be defined as a chromeless browser with is bundled with a mobile app. Hybrid mobile apps have a feel of a native app to them. The hybrid apps can interact with native device functions such as geo-location, cameras etc. Any bugs found in accessing these native features can be solved using Cordova plugins. The strengths of Hybrid 1. It is fully cross-platform- You have to write code once and build it for Android, iOS and Windows Phone. 2. Reuse the code- The Code of a webpage which already exists can be used to transform it into an app for mobiles. 3. Reuse your skills while experimenting- If the developer has knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, he can develop an app in no time with the help of Cordova and framework of a mobile JavaScript. 4. Very less time and cost required- Due to its many advantages, a mobile app can be finished relatively quickly. The weaknesses of Hybrid 1. Issues in performance- The performance is fairly limited as these apps run in a Webview. 2. Behavioral issues- Additional tweaks might be required along with some optimization to the code because of the differing form of Webviews from platform to platform. 3. Slow adaptation to the updated versions of the platform- Whenever a new version of the mobile platform comes in the market, you will be needed to wait a few additional months as Cordova first needs to come up with a verified support for this new version. Native Mobile Apps Native mobile apps are those apps which run on your device natively with true native UI elements. Unlike the hybrid apps, native apps don’t run on Webview, meaning the performance isn’t sacrificed. Like the hybrid, it lets the user utilize their web skills while also providing an engaging experience with add-ons like Telerik UI. The strengths of Native: 1. It is fully cross-platform- Just like a hybrid, the apps which are created with Nativescript will run on both Android and iOS with just one codebase. 2. Reuse the code- Like the hybrid, you are allowed to copy most of your JavaScript business logic into a NativeScript app. 3. Reuse your skills while experimenting- If you know the basics of JavaScript, CSS or XML, then you have all the basics required to understand NativeScript. 4. Immediate support for new versions- Unlike a hybrid, whenever a new mobile OS version is launched, NativeScript provides the support for this new version immediately. The weaknesses of Native: 1. It is relatively new- Since the JavaScript Native frameworks are new to the market, the resources and documentation are still in building process. 2. Not so smooth learning curve- Whereas hybrid lets you use HTML, same is not the case with NativeScript. Only native app concepts such as native UI elements can be used for NativeScript. Read more: Native Or Hybrid - Understanding Your Mobile App Development Options Such is the business trend these days –“A business without a mobile application is a startup without investment”. The latest trend or better to say necessity is that every business whether on a large scale or small scale, will have a genuine and user friendly mobile application that not only helps the business to grow but also helps in promoting the business, creating an identity and also enhancing the image and prestige of the business. In today’s age a mobile app is also the shortest way to implement an idea into real action. With the widespread use of this phenomenon technology known as a Smartphone, which nearly everyone possesses, it has become very easy and convenient to reach out to a massive audience in a short span of time.
Boosting your business doesn't always require the traditional socializing and the marketing methods. Sometimes, a little growth hacking can go a long way in establishing your foothold in the business world. So, what is growth hacking actually? Growth Hacking is a process of experimenting rapidly across different marketing channels to identity the most efficient and effective ways for a business to grow. Growth Hackers can be marketers, engineers or product managers who focus on building the user base of the business. Growth Hackers are often interested in the goal rather than the process. The important part of their job is to get the growth through whichever means possible. Android provides a wide range of ways to create a range of applications for various industries. It takes custom development way ahead as it is written in Java and C++. With the popularity of smartphones and Android’s wide variety of multimedia, travel and e-commerce apps, the market is going exponential. Even from a business point of view. An app is designed to fulfill the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of a particular business. When that company’s becomes successful; it is because it fulfills a critical selling point for which it was developed. With this incredible growth of Android market, it is very easy to develop an app and making it available for other Android users, they can easily download the app and connect to the company’s service via the app or website. Therefore, Android application development and Android apps have become a massively powerful marketing medium to promote your business. It can be concluded by saying that with the help of Android apps; a brand’s advertising, customer retention, promotion and awareness can be taken to a whole new level never experienced before. Android app development can be used to expand your business to a very large base of customers. It is very essential to hire the best Android development professionals for the growth of the apps as well as the business firm. These days many Android app development companies offer custom Android development services to allow us to use the leverage power of Android to foster our business and to reach our goal. Whether you are an Android user or a apple’s iOS user, you have to admit the way Android has taken off in business marketing. It is said to be getting bigger and better day by day so tighten your seat belts as Android has a lot more to offer for you and your business. With the availability of more and more OS platforms, app developers are presented with a dilemma on what platform should their app be developed. The Android OS, developed by Google remains the top choice for app developers. It is based on the Linux kernel and designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as tablets, and smartphones. It has been the best-selling OS on tablets and on smartphones since 2013, and has the largest installed base.
So why do developers choose Android? Let's take a look at few of the reasons that make android the top and obvious choice among app developers. Portability Android apps are mainly developed using Java programming language, making it easily portable to other mobile operating systems like BlackBerry and Ubuntu. Apart from mobile OS, android apps can also be ported to Chrome OS. Microsoft has already begun developing a new way to port android apps to Windows 10 with more ease. Custom ROMS "Rooting" is the Android equivalent to jailbreaking and helps the developers to install customized operating systems on the device. By doing this the developers can learn more about the OS, and improve its performance. Some Android manufacturers even help in "rooting”, where as jailbreaking is an actual crime in the USA. Low Entry Barrier Android actually encourages people to develop more apps and the approval process is very simple, in this way android provides a lower entry barrier. The developer has to register on the Android market, prepare the APK and submit it to Android. And the app development can be done on Windows, Mac or Linux. However in the case of iOS devices, development of an app requires a mac and a yearly subscription to the Apple Store. Versatile Hardware Choice Android is made to be compatible with almost any device that is manufactured around the globe. This gives the option of using a variety of device for the development and testing of various applications. These developers include a wide range of advanced features into the device, which can then be effectively utilized by developers worldwide. These features are comparable to those available with the expensive models and high-end phones, and are also easy to fit into your budget. Easier to learn Google's Android is reported to be much easier to learn than the iOS or BlackBerry, by professionals who have studied both. And it can be learned from scratch, faster than other platforms. Hence, developers starting out with mobile application development will find it very easy to develop for Android. Introduction Of Marshmallow Recently Google Inc. revealed the latest and most awaited version of Android OS, i.e. Android M- Marshmallow. It presents developers with exciting ways to enhance their existing apps. Here are a few significant features. The Android Pay Android pay allows users to store all the information regarding their debit or credit on the device. This helps developers to market their apps and incorporate micro-transactions within the app. Regular payments can be made to any shopping or game app without having to enter the Credit Card Information all the time. App Linking Marshmallow came with an update in improving Android's app linking ability. Now when a user opens a company's domain it automatically opens the company's app if it is installed on the device. It does not ask whether it needs to open in the browser or another app. All the above-mentioned features along with being innovative and creative make android the top choice among android app developers across the globe. The number of mobile users has increased anywhere from 125 to 3000 percent depending on different statistics. Whatever the actual number is the reality is the same, in order to get visitors to convert into customers, you must meet their needs. User Experience is always a major factor when creating an app or website. Here are some simple ways to improve your mobile UX:
1. FIRST IMPRESSIONS MATTER The first impression is probably the most important factor in developing mobile UX. Apps lose about 77% of mobile users within the first three days alone. Users today are crunched for time and complication’s in design often turns them off. Mobile phones are used mainly because they are faster and more convenient than a desktop. The same thing must be kept in mind when designing mobile UX. Today’s users want an easy and customizable experience. Users want to have the ability to choose even in the smallest factors of your app. When designing your log-in/sign-up page try to keep it simple with a minimum number of steps. Research shows that 86% of users dislike sign-up forms and 23% won’t convert because of a form present even after submitting the sign-up form. So try and keep the process simple you can even use a social login (login through Facebook, Gmail, etc) to simplify the process. 2. BE USER-FRIENDLY The design you create must truly cater to your specific user base. The needs of an experienced gamer are definitely different than those of a busy businessman. Therefore, your design must be specifically streamlined for your target audience’s specific requirements. There are a number of things to ensure that mobile apps are user-friendly. Some of which are: Feedback Feedback helps you to make appropriate tweaks in your app before release or shortly after release. Button Hit-Areas Ensure your buttons and fields are appropriately sized. Mobile phones are still mostly operated using fingers and an inappropriately sized button can frustrate any user. Design Make sure your design is platform appropriate. Simplify the content and avoid using dividers as much as possible. Speed Make sure your app has quick loading time and is clutter free. 3. ADD AN EFFECTIVE SEARCH FUNCTION Users want fast and effective answers. This has made ‘search’ one of the main elements in mobile UX. The user should always know where to find the search bar. Filters are also a great method for reducing the search results which makes your search more effective. Also, remember that having a search option is just the first step in mobile UX. You need to keep it effective as well as interactive. Make sure your internal search result pages look awesome and the individual search results can be properly distinguished. 4. USER TESTING User testing will help you identify whether the features in your app are actually being used by them. Users can sometimes end up being less interactive with some of the features you provide. Such additional features that don’t add any value to the product and are needlessly complicating the UX should be discarded immediately. Ultimately user testing will lead to a better product by allowing the UX designer to cater to the specific need of users. Adopting these tips will help you design a better UX and increase your conversion rates. There’s a problem of plenty when it comes to the availability of app development companies. The internet will give you a list of developers that’s a yard long. The problem lies in selecting one that is just right for you and your business needs. You don’t want a partner that slips on delivery deadlines, gives you shoddy, compromised work together with other unpleasant surprises. More importantly, you need an app development company that knows the apps business inside out. Which apps are likely to work and which will end up as duds on the apps store. You need to do thorough homework and spend a good time on evaluating potential developers before you hone onto one that not only has great creative ideas but also the technical skills and expertise to help you build your business and maximize revenues.
Insist on client references to check At the pitching stage, ask the potential mobile app developer for existing and lapsed client references and the permission to speak to them. Their feedback is important as you will get a fair idea of what the developer can deliver basis their actual experiences. Probe for areas where the developer is strong as well as areas where they could be better. Ask both the developer and the past clients about the reasons for their break-up. Check out their apps During the evaluation stage, be sure to get a list of clients and the apps developed by the apps developer for them. Check the authenticity of the app with the relevant client. Does the developer have a good, diverse portfolio? Download the apps and test them for yourself. Do they incorporate a great idea, do they look great in terms of design and most importantly do they work well with great interfaces for a great user experience? Don’t look at the coding only. Look at the entire product in terms of idea, design, coding, and functionality and user experience. Remember the words of Amit Kalantri “To assess the quality of thoughts of people, don't listen to their words, but watch their actions.” Check out the resources and work process of the app developer. Before you select your app developer, it is important to check out their manpower resources and the work process followed. Where possible, a visit to their office is a great idea. Check out the number of employees, the mix of senior and junior developers and the IT and communication infrastructure in the office. Are the software developers certified? Are there enough analysts and UX experts around? A partner that outsources the work is not a good sign. If possible, meet the team that will work on your projects, if you were to award the business. Will they work well together with your team? Is the relationship likely to be durable? Understand the range of services offered by the developer. What is the product development process they follow? All these checks are vital as they impact the agility of your new partner in terms of response times and problem solving. You are more likely to get your apps developed on time and developed right. Look for good warranty clauses Look for good warranty clauses in your contract, particularly warranties related to timely delivery, budgets, testing and possible bugs in the final product developed. If the developer is keen on winning your business, you can even ask for special clauses to be included. Reputations are built on timeliness Punctuality and turning up on time for meetings is one thing. Actions and delivering apps on time is quite another. Check out what the other clients of the app development company have to say about the company’s record of delivering on time. Before appointing your new partner, discuss what penalties can be built into the contract for project delays. Buying cheap can turn out to be very expensive Don’t go by the price alone. Cheap app developers are available a dime a dozen. They are likely to let you down in a crunch. Developers who are rich in skills and experience cost money and very often, they are the ones who are more likely to give you great products. You don’t want to end up hiring and paying a new app developer again because the cheaper one failed to deliver to your expectations. If you spend time on checking out all these aspects of your developer before awarding the contract, chances are you will get good products on time and a good night’s sleep! The flying robot which was initially used in warfare for military surveillance activities posed serious threats when exposed to civil use. Privacy & safety became the key reasons of concern as these flying machines were put for sale in public. However, the last decade witnessed a change in the attitude of people towards these machine birds.
Regulators have now become more concerned for the guidelines for the use of these devices. Their concern is an indicator of the fact that this machine is gaining popularity and is an opportunity to grab for entrepreneurs to explore the avenues where these can be used. DRONE In Healthcare One such avenue is drone in medical industry. The site which humans can't access, drones can easily, and even in lesser time. For countries with a less developed healthcare infrastructure, drones can do the work of service delivery of dropping medicines to the requisite places for clinics and hospitals. Additionally, it is at a speed of 90 Mph without any interception on the way for it to reach the site. Hence, drones can prove to be a boon in emergency situations. Drones on the Test for Medical Applications Companies like Amazon, Google and a few start ups have already started conducting field tests for drones for medical applications in remote areas. The use of drones for medical applications is still at the stage of infancy and would take time to reach up to the level for commercialization. However, it has already been used successfully in disastrous situations. Drones on Rescue Mission People stranded in avalanche, where doctors cannot reach directly and on time, but they can be helped by leveraging these drones. Drones can be easily modified to scan heat signatures to pinpoint and rescue stranded people. Drones successfully delivered small aid packages after the Haitian earthquake in the year 2012, and in Papua New Guinea, Doctors without Borders used them to transport dummy TB test samples from a remote village to the city of Kerema. Zipline Drones Zipline is drone delivery service for clinics and hospitals throughout Western Rwanda. It was the idea of the brainchild of entrepreneur and tech innovator Keller Rinaudo, CEO of Zipline. But, the question that strikes one’s mind is that, does Zipline manufacture drones then? No, it isn't so. Zipline drones work on an app that guides the drones to drop the packages from one place to another. It is not the drones that Zipline or any other drone delivery service company develops but the apps on which these drones would function according to the application. There is no doubt that there is a vast potential for drones in the medical industry. A wide range of applications exist in this field. It can be used for delivering defibrillators, for example, or tourniquets and other hemostatic stocks to people who gets injured during mass shootings. As the range of application varies, so does there is a wide market that exists for drones in future. Successful tests and well-drafted guidelines can change the future of operations of medical industry, though there is still time for this concept of automation, but once put in place, it will bring big changes for this industry. By 2018, the count of smartphones is projected to reach 2.56 Billion or a third of the human population. These days’ mobile devices are challenging personal computers and have become one of the key sectors of customer engagement. Having a website and a smart phone app can work wonders for a small business. Majority of mobile users use apps for services, tools and shopping in a greater frequency than accessing websites through a browser. A traditional website alone, no longer certifies an extensive customer potential. So, here are 5 ways for a small business to ace the digital rat race with their mobile apps.
End to End Customer Interaction Use the push notifications in a scopious manner and send messages directly to your customer’s phone to automate and ensure that offers and promotions are recognized by the customers. Design customer accounts in an uncomplicated, feasible way in order to assist the user to observe purchase records, save address, pay through multiple tranquil methods. Build better customer relationships by introducing painless ways to contact customer service and transparent product feedbacks. Recognize Target Audience This can be a bit hectic but so are most significant tasks. Not all businesses are the same and it holds true for their target audiences. Research and analysis is required to figure out target audience’s preference and interaction with their devices in order to create an efficient app. Multiplex of Platforms Like countries the app market and platforms are divided. In order to get the optimum count of customers an app needs to be available in as many platforms and stores as possible. Android and iOS are quintessential platforms since they control the majority of the smartphone world, but introducing the app to platforms like Windows Phone, Firefox OS, Ubuntu Touch and Blackberry ensures a wider coverage. Depending solely on the big guns is not an option either. XDA labs, Amazon app store, Opera stores and a few others needs to be added to the list of markets along with Play Store and iTunes where the app is wired to be downloaded. MUST READ: Why Your Business Needs Its Own Mobile App Savings and Loyalty Rewards Loyalty cards have a great potential and keeps the customer encouraged to return in short intervals of time. Analytics and Big Data provided by big companies can reveal offers, promotions and discount schemes reverberating with various sects of target audience and enable a business to whip up informed decisions about upcoming promotions and Return of Investment (ROI). Pledged Delivery Services like Amazon Prime and Seamless have raised the bar and expectations of customers for quick, committed and traceable delivery. For a small business, tie up with a delivery service and real time updates of the product delivery can hike a customer’s satisfaction and trust on the business and encourage future purchases. Having the above points aggregated together it is evident that an mobile app can boost a small business potential and capitalize on customer outreach at a gargantuan level and bridge customer relationships with minimalist efforts. There are various companies at the moment who even provide pre-constructed templates for an app adaptable to miscellaneous category of businesses. |
